In 2014 we were asked to devise and curate an exhibition to mark 50 years of The IUCN (The International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List of Threatened Species. The IUCN Red List is the world's most comprehensive information source on the global conservation status of animal, fungi and plant species and is referred to worldwide.

As curators, our challenge was to create an environmental exhibition like no-one had seen or experienced before. Here Today... was an exhibition that dared to challenge common perceptions on how and what an art exhibition themed on environmental issues should be.

With over 50 internationally celebrated contemporary artists, the selected works and commissions offered different views, access points and visual triggers that encouraged contemplative responses. The visitor experienced a journey staged in different chapters that began with Andy Warhol's Endangered Species print portfolio (1983) acting as a prologue. Human Footprint focussed our attention on our inappropriate overuse of plastics and brought home the message that our collective actions do have a sizeable affect.  In Plants & Trees - Birds & Bees we were reminded about the interdependency of species for the planet's survival. Climate Change & Loss of Natural Habitat was an interactive landscape of discovery whilst The Unsustainable Sea & Changing Landscapes moved our attention to the larger ecosystems, The Hunted bestowed some gruesome truths and poignantly Gone Today was a warning of all that we have lost. We ended the journey on a more positive note with the chapter Here Tomorrow which featured concepts and designs from recent RCA graduates providing hope for a better future for our planet.

The start and finish of the exhibition design was an 'amphitheatre' that hosted a shop, coffee station, talks and a series of children's workshops.
