“When I opened the pot of seaweed ink the smell and its slippery greasy texture, shot me back to my childhood, scrabbling about on the beach in the west coast of Scotland.
Today these beaches and waters have a degraded ecosystem, I see far less fish, anemones, sea urchins, seaweed and bird life.
Sea health is essential for our survival and this project highlights that. Our seas are deep and mysterious, I’m always intrigued by what isn’t immediately visible” - Caragh Thuring
