This rug has a very low knot count and a large number of dyed colours cut very low in the pile to show the knots. This was to capture the looseness of the brushwork from the artist's design and also bring out the effect of paint with a large amount of colours.
'I love animals but I particularly love cats and to me tigers are an extension of cats, except that you can pick up cats more easily. I like tigers very much and I'm extremely concerned about climate change and how animals are losing their natural habitat, I think it's a major catastrophe. I want to help the continuation of animals because they are disappearing and they are going to disappear more and more. The idea of a world without tigers is a very depressing business.'
