Cure3 2018 is the second edition of the acclaimed selling exhibition, devised by Artwise and carried out in partnership with Bonhams to raise awareness and funds for The Cure Parkinson's Trust and Parkinson's research. Dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's, a degenerative disease currently affecting more than 10 million people worldwide, Cure3 supports The Cure Parkinson's Trust to fund essential research into new treatments with the potential to change Parkinson's by slowing, stopping or even reversing the disease.
Cure3 2018 followed the framework of the previous year in that each artist was invited to create an art work using a 20cm3 bespoke Perspex box to frame, support or contain each work. However, this year in addition to a host of new names, including the artists Carmen Herrera and Anish KApoor there were also 11 specially invited architects.
The Cure3 cubes were exhibited and sold in an exhibition in Bonhams London, from 26-28 October 2018, all proceeds raised went directly to the charity CPT to help find a cure for Parkinson's disease.
Cure3 has to date raised over £650,000 in support of The Cure Parkinson's Trust, backing their essential work as they strive to consign Parkinson's to a disease of the past.
