Laura Culpan – Director, Curator
Laura Culpan graduated in 1996 with an MA Honours degree in History of Art from the University of St Andrews, Scotland. From 1996 to 2003 she lived in Florence, Italy, where she managed a contemporary art gallery, initiated a project space for emerging artists and worked as a freelance writer and curator. In 2003 she was Museum Curator for the Galleria Civica di Arte Contemporanea in Trento, Italy. She has collaborated on various projects and exhibitions with prestigious artists such as Mario Merz, Nicola de Maria, Maurizio Cattelan, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Martin Creed and Jim Lambie. Her writing has been published in numerous catalogues and periodicals and in 2003 she was a guest speaker at the 51st Venice Biennale.
